My name is Kirsty McCubbin, and I’ve been a full time affiliate marketer for 13 years. I have spent 2 years out of that time doing nothing but travelling the world. Not concurrent years mind you! Two separate year long skives. Out of all the years I’ve spent doing this, those were the best. I have used my affiliate income to relocate from the UK to the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Australia, lived there for 7 years had two children beautiful there, then come back again when I realised that being 12,000ks from grannie wasn’t all that great. I now live in rural Wigtownshire close to my family. I doubt my travel career is over though.
For 3.5 years I barely worked at all. I took time out to have my two babies, and was fortunate enough to earn a really nice income from affiliate marketing with a minimum of input from me. I did neglect the development of my business, and I definitely neglected this blog during my trip to baby town. I still earn a full time income from AM. To my surprise, over the last 18 months I’ve knocked the rust off my brain, rebuilt my affiliate business and appear to be doing as well as I always did. For now at least. I decided to restart the blog to share my (at times difficult) journey and my enduring passion for AM. I’m sure I’m not alone in my experiences, and I hope people will find the conversation helpful.
I still believe Affiliate Marketing to be the greatest job in the known universe. It has given me an amazing life, travel, living overseas, and less glamorous but the most precious – the ability to give my babies a stay at home mummy (and Daddy).
I hope now to create a UK base, and start some new travel adventures. This time with my two little affiliates in tow (and their Daddy).
