Everybody loves a good graph! Within my site which is review site for parents who just want to get away and travel with their kids I have been applying the same approach. Within Little Nomads I have been using a simple plugin tool that enables me to quickly create the "cross link diamond" by simply linking to certain pages that I use keywords within. I have only just started this practice so it will be interesting to see if I can lift the that current rate of 363 that I have. Be interested to hear of other ways people are working at cross linking.
Cheers, James

Brilliant post, glad things are working out for you Sam. It's amazing how a 5 minute job like putting those links in your footer has doubled your traffic! Goes to show that even the smallest optimisations count.

Congratulations Kirsty. Although it's already been said, it's just a day. An important day... but not everything has to be perfect! Honest!
We worried for months ahead of ours, but what you realise - too late! - is that it's the two people who are important... The rest is, well, icing on the cake!
Don't stress, enjoy!

Alex, For the fishing site, judging by the amount of sea fishing going on from the newly re-opened Boscombe Pier (near Bournemouth, UK), there should be a big audience for your site. And in all seriousness, listening to the accents as I walked by you may need to consider hiring the services of an eastern european translator.

Good Luck with your ventures, and still a great site here Kirsty, I always look forward to your new posts

Hi Kirsty, great info here, thank you very much. I'm gathering it all up and attempting set up a Wordpress content management system to generate loads of affiliate revenue - Aye right! :-)

Anyway, I was hoping you could help me with the dreaded Permalinks. First of all, can you explain the Permalink structure and how it relates to categories, post slugs and titles, etc, and secondly can you explain how best to set it up for a CMS with SEO in mind..?

Is it enough to choose 'custom structure' and enter /%postname%/ or should I include some category reference too? Sorry folks for the dull as dishwater post!
