I think you are absolutely spot on there Amit, it's certainly what I am currently working towards.

A gap in my current technique which has been caused by the affiliate travel is a largish site covering the sectors I tend to work within with lots of information and regularly updated content and articles (both contained within the blog!).

I think with all the work increasingly required of Adwords landing pages, it's not a huge additional effort to perform effective SEO (you'll have done 90% of the work already), and gain the additional traffic stream.

I'm currently working on 2 sites to push myself towards this. I'm writing 3 articles per site per day. After 1 year I'll have two sites which both have 1,000 pages. I'd be looking to get 3 or 4 visitors from organic search to each of the pages a day on average.

I will also be starting to develop another 2 or 3 sites as I go along in the next 12 months.

These sites will then be rich information sources, I'll be able to use them for PPC landing pages, with product comparison areas and have ready made free and relevant content for the adwords landing page robot to feast upon!

Win win I reckon ;)

Hi Kirsty,

Great post! My thoughts on this have been to increasing build up large authority sites that have the following:

1) Have a super site that have targetted ppc landing pages for individual products and/or subniche within that niche
2) Have a blog for the site that I regularly updated
3) Have tons of useful articles on the site that are regularly updated
4)SEO optimize this site, get backlinks, get it to at least PR4

This will assure a good landing page quality score now and in the long term. Plus you're building a sellabe asset. Also, by focusing you energy on a superniche you can leverage your existing site and content for each new niche you go into within that superniche.

Your thoughts?
