It is very interesting when you’re forced to examine all the different ways you waste a little time here and there. The book was definately a great help to me

Very inspirational, outsourcing is something I’m trying to get more into, have just received my copy of “The 4-Hour Work Week” hmm a book that will double the amount of work I do lol, now if only I can find someone to read it for me

@martin – no, I don’t find it difficult. I did a lot of checking to start with, but now I’ve got a good relationship with my writer and trust his quality levels I’m happy just to get it up onto the sites.

@nadeem – why thankyou kind sir! Yes, I will be available for a nice cuppa with your good self at the A4U Expo. Duncan and I will both be there.

@nicola – thanks for the kind words and good luck in your life / work balance quest. It’s definately a long process as an affiliate, but oh so worth it!

Thanks Kirsty for this post – it’s both informative and inspirational. As a relative newbie and a perfectionist I thought it was necessary to be everything all by myself: the designer; the coder; the marketeer; the writer etc etc. In the long run of course it’s beneficial to be proficient at all of these skills, but in the short-term it has meant that my business has not been moving forward because I’ve been so overwhelmed with the process of learning that I haven’t got much done at all. Your post serves as a reminder that I need to work to my strengths and not force myself to do things I don’t particularly enjoy!

I also find your 2.5 day work week inspirational and something to aim for as the whole reason I got involved in affiliate marketing was so that I can work around my children, holiday when I want and basically enjoy a fantastic quality of life. I may have to print this post out so that I can read it everytime I start to slack off. Thanks Kirsty. Happy travels!

Excellent, excellent blog post once again Kirsty. I, too, am a big fan of the Four Hour Work Week. However, as everybody knows, I am probably one of the worst delegators there is doing my ridiculous 100 hour work weeks and so I’m going to use your blog post to inspire me to delegate more tasks. Do you not find it difficult letting someone else write for your business? The first time I outsourced, I read and tweeked every article I got back! I may as well have written them myself!

Glad to hear it Ben… there’s certainly some great inspiration in there. I don’t know if I could get it down to 4 hours a week either, but I’m certainly going to try to shave even more time off my total necessary work hours!

Just gone an ordered that book upon this post Kirsty, so cheers for that Looks like a good read, though I cant see myself getting down to just 4 hours even if I wanted too!

Think the key to outsourcing is finding the right suppliers to do your work, especially any direct client work as ultimatley its your reputation and head on the block.
