I wasn’t hit THIS TIME, lol. I am aware of some flaws in a few of my landing pages, so I’m altering my ongoing strategy at the same time as revising all my current landing page projects.

I do a lot of direct to merchant PPC as I actually specialise in picking up small niche terms other people generally miss, so thankfully I’m not reliant on landing pages for my Adwords success!

Great Post! Thanks for the update. After reading your post I immediately logged into my Adwords accounts to see if I had been hit.

To my surprise, not only have I not seen an increase in min bids, some of my min bids actually went down. The strategy of building an SEO site, with targeted ppc landing pages seems to be working.

Have you been hit yet, or were you unaffected?

Google is seeing people make money and being greedy to get a bigger chunk of the pie. The only ones bidding on extremely targeted long tail words are marketers and they are squeezing margins by finding ways to up the bids.

I was able to escape the increase, many others will be very upset when they wake up.
